More daddy-daughter dances, a mother-son soiree to add to our list
In addition to events in Raleigh and Cary, dances are planned in Smithfield, Chapel Hill and Fayetteville, where a mother-son soiree also is scheduled.

I wrote a couple of weeks ago about daddy-daughter dances and, as I suspected, I have a few more to add to the list.

Here are three more:
Forever Fancy will present its 2012 Daddy & Daughter Dance and 2012 Mother & Son Soiree next month. The event for dads and daughters is 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Feb. 12. For moms and sons, it's 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Feb. 19. Both will be held at the new Fuller Recreation Complex in Fayetteville, a favorite spot for Cumberland County school proms. Tickets are $30 per couple and $15 for each additional son or daughter. Click here for more information about the daddy-daughter event and here for more details on the mother-son event. The Smithfield Recreation and Aquatics Center will host a Daddy Daughter Dance in Smithfield from 7:30 p.m. to 10 p.m., Feb. 18. The cost is $50 ($45 for Smithfield residents) and includes appetizers, a photo and more. For more information, click here or call 919-934-2148. Space is limited.
And Triangle Youth Ballet will host a dance for fathers and daughters at Extraordinary Ventures in Chapel Hill starting at 4:15 p.m., Feb. 12. Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for kids. Click here for details. The event is a fundraiser for the ballet.
