Mordecai Historic Park will offer free guided tours from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Friday. Guests can tour the antebellum plantation house and three other historic structures (a plantation kitchen, chapel and Andrew Johnson's birthplace). Tours begin on the hour and half hour. It's first come, first serve and no reservations are taken.

The park, near downtown Raleigh, only offers free tours twice a year ... so here's your chance!

Mordecai also will be the launching point for a Valentine Trolley, which will take riders on a romantic themed tour through downtown Raleigh. It's at noon and 1 p.m., Feb. 12. Tickets are $10. Purchase your tickets in advance by calling the park gift shop at 919-857-4364.
