Lynda Loveland: She's baaaack!

There may be just 17 days till Christmas, but the countdown is over for my mom to arrive! If you read one of my earlier blogs, you’ll know that I’m very close to my mom and I love love love her being here.

My youngest daughter and I went to pick her up at the airport Tuesday. On the way, my mind was racing with all the things I wanted to talk to her about. Then I realized not only was my mind racing, so was my vehicle. Had to slow ‘er down a bit. I didn’t want to spill that vase full of flowers sitting in my lap. What a sight that would be for a trooper.

Once we got home, all I heard till bedtime was a chorus of three voices saying “hey Oma color with me”, “Oma look at this” and “Oma play Beyblades with me!"

The kids were sooo excited to see her. So was I.

Granted I’m not a kid anymore, but there were things I wanted to show and tell her as well! I couldn’t get a word in and it was killing me! I wanted to show her all the garlic bulbs I planted and how well they were doing. I wanted to show her the tricks I taught Bindi. And I wanted to show her the new bag I bought for her.

It’s amazing how easy it is to revert back to childhood when your mama is around. Hey, whatever makes you feel young. I’m just glad she’s back.
