Now that Pullen is open, what are the hours?

Readers are asking me this question on Facebook and by email, so I thought I'd clear it up.

Readers have been asking me this question on our Facebook page and also by email, so I thought I'd answer it here too: Now that Pullen Park is open, what are the hours?

Pullen's office and amusements - the carousel, train and boats - will be open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. from October to March. They are closed Thanksgiving day; Dec. 23 to Dec. 26; and Jan. 1. The rides also will be closed to the general public from Dec. 8 to Dec. 11 during the Holiday Express. Only Holiday Express ticket holders will be able to ride the rides during event hours.

The hours will be 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily in April and September. They will be 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily from May to August.

Pullen's grounds and playground are open daily at dawn like other parks across the city, city park staff tell me.

The new Pullen Place cafe is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
