Made by Mom Gift Guide: ScriptureArt's inspirational products prove popular

Posted November 16, 2011

Business has been going strong for Kelly Shiley and her business ScriptureArt, which sells vinyl peel and stick products with Bible quotes and cute designs.

Her first inspiration for the business came in the early morning hours more than a year ago as she fed her newborn daughter. Worn out, she knew she needed some encouragement and inspiration. So, on the advice of her Bible study leader, she wrote down inspirational Bible verses on index cards and stuck them on her walls. Kelly Shiley created Scripture Design Art Holly Springs mom finds way to encourage herself, others

ScriptureArt was born when she realized that there had to be something cuter than index cards.

"We have been busy," Shiley wrote in an email. Shiley also has some support from her sister Katie Hamilton. Hamilton is the wife of Major League Baseball player Josh Hamilton, a Raleigh native.

Shiley has rolled out at least five new product lines since I last featured her on Go Ask Mom in July. They include peel and stick dry erase chore charts, calendars, whiteboards, scripture memory trees, custom appliques, custom memory cards and large room graphics that look hand painted.

You can find it all on her website -

Go Ask Mom is catching up with Shiley, who is part of our Made by Mom Gift Guide! The guide features a dozen local moms and the products they create. Click here to learn about them all. And check back every Monday and Thursday through mid-December to learn more about them.
