What's Bea Lee been up to since I featured the Pittsboro mom and her quilting business back in March?

"Quilting, of course!!" she tells me.

We're catching up with Lee again because she is part of our Made by Mom Gift Guide. We'll feature moms from the guide here every Monday and Thursday through about mid-December.
Lee started quilting a few years ago when she was pregnant with her second child. She took a quilting class taught by the pastor's wife at her church, Calvary Chapel in Cary. It led to an obsession for this mom of two, whose home now includes a room dedicated to her craft. Read my earlier post to learn more about Lee and her award-winning quilts. She also makes adorable quilted owls and portfolio sets.

In the past few months, Lee has taught a beginners quilting class at Central Carolina Community College in Pittsboro. And she's been busy making quilts for customers and friends. Business is getting busier as the holiday season approaches, she tells me. She's helping to plan a craft show and fair at Pittsboro Elementary School, 375 Pittsboro Elementary School Rd. It's from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday and will feature holiday gifts, handmade items, a pizza and bake sale and more.

Learn more about Lee on her website, blog and Etsy shop.
Bea Lee is part of our 2011 Made by Mom Gift Guide. Happy shopping!
