Still looking for a preschool? Some openings

Posted October 31, 2011

I asked our Go Ask Mom Facebook fans if they knew of any preschools with openings. The answer: Indeed, they do.

More than two dozen people posted about openings at preschools across the region.

My question was prompted by an email from one preschool - First Baptist Weekday Preschool - which has openings. The school is at 99 N. Salisbury St. in downtown Raleigh.

And straight from our Facebook page with just a few minor edits from me. I include websites when the poster included the website in her comment. Most, if not all of these schools, can be easily found in a Google search.

Here they are:

  • Transitional Kindergarten at Learn With the Best in Cary is fantastic and has open spots.

Children's Academy on West Chatham / Old Apex in Cary was wonderful for my kids. We spent 7.5 years there total and both of my kids were very prepared for kindergarten as they do "school work" during the school year months. And their summer field trips, onsite pool and swimming lessons were great! Ask for Sally - (919)481-0272

Does anyone have any recommendations for a reputable transitional full day program? My daughter has a late birthday and will miss going to kindergarten next fall.

I believe the School of Grace (http://www.schoolofgrace.com/) at Grace Lutheran Church, 5010 Six Forks Road, still has some openings. It is a half-day, parent participatory, pre-school. Lots of info at the web site.
