Project Enlightenment in Raleigh will be hosting Block Fest, an interactive exhibit for parents and their children.

The traveling, research-based exhibit is designed to raise awareness of early math and science learning by offering hands on block play to families with young children.

The event will stop at Project Enlightenment on Nov. 30 and Dec. 1 for multiple sessions. It's designed for kids ages 6 and under.

Parents and children spend 10 minutes at each of the five block stations. Once done, they clean up the station and move to the next area. The entire exhibit takes an hour. Parents leave with a take-home booklet.

North Carolina Parents as Educators is bringing the exhibit to North Carolina.
Go to Project Enlightenment's website for details and to pre-register, which is required. Block Fest is free.
