Duke programs explore gluten free diets, weight loss, more

Duke Medicine, Go Ask Mom's sponsor, will offer some special workshops in the next few months that might appeal to moms.

They include:

  • Options for Gluten Free Diet, 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., Sept. 27. Learn what’s new with gluten free diets and how to tailor your needs.
  • Eating Out and Losing Weight - It Can Happen, 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., Oct. 3. Tips to support healthy eating outside the home while achieving your weight loss goals.
  • Urinary Incontinence: Non-Surgical Approaches, 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., Nov. 2. Exercise and behavioral management approaches to decreasing urinary incontinence caused by either childbirth or aging.
  • Plastic Surgery: Breast Augmentation and Abdominoplasty, 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Nov. 3. Discover how body sculpting and breast contouring could enhance your appearance.
The free programs are held at Teer House, 4019 N. Roxboro Rd., in Durham. They're sponsored by Duke Medicine’s Office of Clinical Education and Professional Development. Registration is required. To register, go to the events calendar at dukehealth.org or call 888-ASK-DUKE
