It's a big one for consignment shoppers. Here's where you'll find the deals on kids clothes, gear and toys this week.

We have one of the big sales for the region this week (and thanks for the many emails from its fans reminding me that it's here :) ... Kids Everywear at the Morrisville Outlet Mall on Airport Boulevard features the goods of 1,000 consignors. The sale offers many opportunity to shop early. Check the website for details on that. It is open to the general public from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday; 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday when some items are half off; and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday when some items are half off or 75 percent off.
The Divine Children's Show in Raleigh is open to the public from 9:30 am. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and 9:30 am. to 2 p.m. Thursday. This sale features both gently used and new boutique children's clothing. So the prices here will be higher than at a traditional sale because of the quality of the clothes. The sale is at Pleasant Valley Promenade, 6282-100 Glenwood Avenue in north Raleigh.
Nearly New Clothing Exchange in Raleigh will be open to the public from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday through Saturday. On Sunday, hours are 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. when some items are half off and 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. when some items are 75 percent off. The sale is at North Haven Church, 6620 Six Forks Rd. North Haven Church will be selling hot dogs and drinks at the sale to raise money for their youth groups.
Hayes Barton Baptist Church's KidzStuff Consignment Sale is open to the public 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. to noon Saturday when some items are half off. The church is at the intersection of Glenwood Avenue and Whitaker Mill Road in Raleigh's Five Points.
And as you read on Monday, Lullabies to Mudpies, a new sale in Wake Forest, is this weekend. It opens to the public Friday, but you can shop early on Thursday if you donate $14 worth of food or a $14 gift card to a grocery store or big box store for Backpack Buddies, which provides food to kids who might otherwise not have enough on the weekends when they're out of school. The general public can also shop from 8:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and 8:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday. Some items will be marked down at 6 p.m. Saturday. On Sunday the hours are 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. when some items are half off. For more about how the sale is teaming up with Backpack Buddies and The Buddy Run, read my earlier post.
