The exhibit at the N.C. Museum of Natural Sciences features 14 life-size metal sculptures, including a 44-foot long T. Rex. The pieces can be moved by using either a lever-and-pulley system or remote control.

Marbles sets special Monday summer hours for families, makes improvements to the popular Around Town exhibit and plans a Kick-Off to Kindergarten for year-round students.

Artspace in downtown Raleigh offers plenty of family-friendly fun. Families can watch artists at work and take in all kinds of art. Kids can take part in the summer programs.

Friday is the first Friday of the month, which means that downtown Raleigh galleries, shops, restaurants and museums are open late with special activities or deals. Plenty of venues offer fun for all ages.
Tickets are now $5 (they were $10) for the exhibit, which showcases nearly 200 objects made by Piedmont potters during the 18th and 19th centuries.
