If you’re a parent, choosing the right school system is always a top priority. Do you prefer a more peaceful learning community or the quicker pace of an urban system? Do you favor results-based programs or an environment that searches for more creative ways to expand your child’s potential. Luckily, the Triangle area has so much to offer that you can-do-no-wrong.

When investigating a public school system in North Carolina, or anywhere in the country for that matter, Chapel Hill-Carrboro offers a benchmark few can surpass. They have gained national attention among the Top 100 High Schools. Chapel Hill-Carrboro’s “Highest Percentage of…”, “Highest Ranked…”, or “Highest Results in…” almost becomes a blur of praise that diminishes how exceptional this system actually is. They are also one of only 25 districts in the country in the Minority Student Achievement Network. With impressive funding for education it’s really no surprise that some of the best public education available is right here.

The Wake County Public School System has received its share of attention. Wake has been on Top-Ten lists for systems in bigger cities. With over 100,000 students they have focused their educational vision on achieving impressive goals academically and economically.
Johnston County’s success can be seen in its growth. Its small-town feel encourages a personalized touch that sometimes is missed in larger systems. Solid academic results, good funding, and some impressive facilities prove Johnston to be a strong choice for school districts.
Orange County Schools represent a good balance in education. It’s safe, rural neighborhoods provide a perfect setting for a strong academic foundation, agricultural studies, and collegiate partnerships. This school district could be just right for your family.
The Durham District is commonly recognized for impressive options in educational opportunity. Arts, athletics, academics, and enormous potential thrive in one of the most diverse communities in the country. This is a school system willing to invest in the different forms that quality education can take.
Chatham County’s schools have shown impressive results recently. Laptops in the classrooms, an award-winning principal and band director, as well as multiple State Champion athletes are the accomplishments of this community’s schools.

The Triangle is truly a region of enormous diversity; as rich in history and tradition as it is in technology and development. Old-town communities just minutes from bustling state-of-the-art culture. The school systems here have as much to offer, from one side of the spectrum to the other. Make your choice – it’s sure to be a good one.
