I've been rather remiss about writing here because we've had a series of things going on that really impacted us negatively.

Hayley and I caught the cold virus going around. She missed two days of school and was about half speed at several days. I ended up being sick for 10 days and still have a cough like a two pack a day smoker.

More troubling in our world was an incident at a local library. I'm not going to go into all the details but it was serious enough to involve me calling the police. All I'm going to say is parents don't let your guard down at the library - or anywhere for that matter.

I'll expand on this all more, I just wanted you all to know we were still around and now are doing ok.

It does not matter where you go any more, even with family members. Talking to your kids and asking questions is not all about being in their business. It's much more. It's caring about what they're exposed to and ensuring their safety, their mind and body. Being a parent means to also be their friend. Warning them of certain dangers.
