Sweet Moments
Isn't it amazing how a child can just make you melt in a matter of seconds???? It happens on a daily basis but a couple of moments stand out recently.
The first happened on the way home from daycare. Campbell's always giving toys to Caiden to play with. She's also great about sharing her water although she usually ends up chucking her sippie cup at him, not necessarily a good thing. But anyway, this particular day I heard some giggling and laughter coming from the backseat. I turned around and what do I see, but Campbell and Caiden reaching, stretching across the seat, holding hands. My 2 1/2 year old daughter and almost 11 month old son holding hands!!!!! It was priceless. It doesn't sound like a big deal but it was just one of those things that affected me in that emotional, mommy sort of way. It was sooooo sweet.
The other moment happened at daycare yesterday. Usually I pick up Caiden first than head on over to Campbell's class. When I get there, one of the teachers usually holds Caiden while I pick up and hug Campbell. Well, yesterday I was still holding Caiden when Campbell came running over to me. She immediately told one of her teachers repeatedly to " hold Caiden". I'm thinking ok, whatever, so I hand him off. The second he leaves my arms, Campbell says "hold me Mommy". I picked her up and she gave me a big, tight hug and a kiss. If only I could bottle that moment and that feeling. It doesn't get any better than that...........
