Lejeune Marine killed in Afghanistan

— A Marine based at Camp Lejeune was killed in combat Saturday in Afghanistan, according to the U.S. Department of Defense.

Lance Cpl. Peter J. Clore, 23, of New Philadelphia, Ohio, was assigned to 3rd Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Lejeune. He was killed in Helmand province, defense officials said in a news release.

    Lance Cpl. Clore was the 153rd US service member killed this year, #1599 for the war.

    Pfc. Anthony M. Nunn, 19, of Burnet, Texas has the distinction of being the 1600th KIA.

    Very sad - New Philadelphia is just a little city in OH. Since Obama has not chosen to win this war in Afghanistan, I wish we would get out!
