Lejeune Marine killed in Afghanistan

— A Camp Lejeune Marine was killed in Afghanistan on Tuesday, the military announced Thursday.

Military officers said that Cpl. Johnathan W. Taylor, 23, of Homosassa, Fla., was killed during a combat operation in the Helmand province.

Taylor deployed with the 2nd Battalion, 8th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force to Afghanistan in January.

It was his fourth deployment, including two previous tours of duty in Afghanistan and one in Iraq.

Taylor joined the Marine Corps in 2006 and was promoted to corporal in 2009.

His awards include the Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal and NATO Medal-ISAF Afghanistan.

    Well, another brave young hero is "murdered" in this senseless Obama war.

    I feel for the loss of this hero and his family & friends.. The odds of course with this 4th deployment of being wounded or getting "murdered" appeared to be on the rise.
    Although, some would argue that each time in harms way, the odds are the same. Mathematically that is correct, BUT....each time over there, made his personal chance of getting it higher.

    When will the Obama fan club, start to make some noise about getting the heck out of there, ie: liberal media, college protesters, Dem congressmen, Hollywood types, etc

    My brother is with the 2/8. Over there fighting right now. I hate to see things like this!! Makes me cry. I just want him home safe. RIP Johnathan Taylor. You are a true hero. Praying every day for all of you.

    This is the third Marine from this particular unit in the month of February alone. I pray for the other members of this unit who have lost their brothers - in - arms. May their sacrifice be honored and never forgotten.
