Lejeune Marine killed in Afghanistan

Sgt. Garrett A. Misener, 25, a member of the 2nd Battalion, 9th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force from Camp Lejeune, died Monday in Afghanistan, the Department of Defense said.

Misener was from Cordova, Tenn. He died while conducting combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan.
