Camp Lejeune, N.C. — A Camp Lejeune Marine died Monday in Afghanistan, the Department of Defense said Tuesday.
Cpl. Christopher M. Monahan Jr., 25, of Island Heights, N.J., was killed while conducting combat operations in Helmand province, officials said.
Monahan was assigned to Combat Logistics Battalion 2, Combat Logistics Regiment 2, 2nd Marine Logistics Group, II Marine Expeditionary Force.

Not sure if anyone noticed the location this Marine is from. if his family is still in Island Heights, I'm sure they were affected by the hurricane. My heart breaks for them, having gone through the storm, and now being on the never ending journey of carrying on after losing a child.
