Lego KidsFest to return to Raleigh next year

Posted October 24, 2013

Lego KidsFest, the major Lego event that stopped in Raleigh in 2011, will return in 2014.

Organizers announced today that the 2014 tour's first stop will be at the Raleigh Convention Center from Feb. 28 to March 2. Tickets are $20 for kids ages 3 to 17 and seniors age 65 and up and $22 for adults. Kids two and under are free.

The event will feature all sorts of Lego activities, games and displays. Read my overview of the 2011 stop here. There definitely was some discussion a couple of years ago about the steep admission prices though, as some mentioned, you do leave with a lot of free Lego prizes. Woody Lego KidsFest

That is a lot of money. If I wanted to go with my two children, I'd pay over $60!!!

It's too bad they don't start earlier on Friday (opens at 4pm)- with the number of kids who might be tracked out, or just the younger kids (and homeschoolers) in the area, they could still have quite a crowd during the day on Friday, but not packed! That would be a big draw for me to take my big Lego fans in this house.

Not sure I want to spend that much money though and go when everyone else would be going on the weekend.

    Thanks for the info though.
