Learning lab hosts SAT boot camp this month

Posted April 14, 2014

A new test means scores are likely to be low. The Department of Public Instruction is trying to manage expectations when scores are released Nov. 7, 2013.

The Wade Edwards Learning Lab in Raleigh will host a SAT boot camp led by Raleigh Tutoring on April 26.

The comprehensive, one-day workshop arms students with SAT test-taking skills and strategies for every question they'll encounter on test day. Topics covered include: SAT fundamentals and strategies, test content and structure, practice and review for every question type, and strategies for attacking all three sections: writing, critical reading, and math. The instructors are certified teachers and SAT experts.

The class is 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., April 26. The cost is $150 and includes an SAT book and other materials. For questions, call 919-781-8963 or email info@raleightutoring.com.

The lab is in Raleigh across the street from Broughton High School. It offers all sorts of programs for Wake County high schoolers.
