Want to learn more about the science of brewing beer?

More than 20 breweries will be on tap at the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences for its third Natural Selections Beer and Science event. The event pairs a beer sampling session and games with hands-on experiments and demonstrations to help people understand more about the science of brews.

Researchers will host presentations about the use of yeast in beer and how different strains of wild yeast can affect beer's flavor. You can also don a pair of beer goggles while playing corn hole to see how impairment affects you.

Tickets for the Aug. 19 event are $30 ($25 for museum members). For more information, visit the Museum of Natural Sciences website.
