Leadership Triangle taking nominations for 10th annual Goodmon Awards

Leadership Triangle, a nonprofit organization established in 1992 to educate and promote regionalism across the separate communities of the Triangle, is taking nominations for its 10th annual Goodmon Awards, presented by the Carolina Hurricanes and Compuware. 

Nominees are selected from five categories and are chosen for exhibiting outstanding regional leadership in action. Applications are available online and can be submitted until Nov. 13, 2012.

Awards will be give in the following categories:

  • Community Service
  • Arts/Entertainment/Sports
  • Economic Development
  • Strategic Partnership
  • Goodmon Fellow

In determining honorees, the selection committee will consider contributions in more than one county in the Triangle, specific examples of commitment and leadership on regional issues, active participation in, and support of, organizations in the area, innovative projects or strategies that improve the quality of life and other indications of regional leadership.

Award winners will be announced at The Goodmon Awards Gala, held at the American Tobacco Campus, Bay 7 on Dec. 3 from 5:30 to 9 p.m.
