Late-night set from Yarn highlights Last Band Standing

Posted April 12

Yarn (Band Together)

— Band Together NC hosts its sixth annual Last Band Standing competition Saturday night at Lincoln Theatre in downtown Raleigh.

They are changing things up this year with only three bands competing. Previous years saw four bands battling it out to be on the Band Together Main Event bill.

Instead this year, fans will be treated to a special late-night set from Yarn, an Americana band out of New York.

Meet the bands competing for the title of 2016 Last Band Standing:

Bryan Elijah and The Wild Hearts (alternative/Americana) from Dayton, Virginia

Rebekah Todd and The Odyssey (folk and blues band) from Benson, N.C.

Dr. Bacon (which bills itself as "Appalachian Funk-Grass") from Boone, N.C.

Tickets for Last Band Standing are on sale now. General admission tickets are $14 in advance and $17 the day of the show. VIP tickets, which include dinner from Bella Monica, drinks and premier viewing, are $75.

The winner will join Trampled By Turtles and The Devil Makes Three on the bill for Band Together's Main Event concert on May 14 at Red Hat Amphitheater. Tickets are on sale now.

Proceeds from the May concert will benefit this year's Band Together's non-profit partner, Kidznotes.
