Super Doubles deals for 67 cents!

It's the last day to shop the Harris Teeter Super Doubles promo this week! What great deals did you find and what were your totals?

Here's the place to post your Super Doubles register totals and all your favorite deals! Feel free to share any Super Doubles shopping stories while you are at it! Good luck to everyone and have fun!  You can see the main deals list at the link above.

Here are my totals from the shop I did this morning.  I went to the store after I dropped off my daughter in carpool and got there at about 7:15 am. I was amazed that they had everything in stock that I wanted to buy today! Way to go Harris Teeter!

Subtotal before sales and coupons: $110.37

Saved: $109.70

Paid: 67 cents!

% saved: 99%

All the items I bought today are in the photo above and I used coupons for each one as well as a competitor's coupon. My unique coupons included a free Aquaphor coupon for any product up to $17.99 (the lotion I bought was $15.99) from a Facebook contest they ran a while ago and a $2 off any meat coupon (that doubled) from a tear pad in a Lowes Foods a while ago. Other than that, all the coupons I used are on the deals list.

It's always a nice gesture to call the HT corporate number and thank them for offering the promotion if you had a good experience. If your store, and especially a specific employee, did a good job with customer service, I bet that they would love to hear that information as well.

Just took my last trip this HT SD go around. Used just 4 coupons. Had an issue with using one of them. It was buy one get one free. The item was $4.59 and the coupon had a $4.49 max. The young cashier guy scanned it and put it in his coupon bag. I said 'it didn't scan'. He tried it again. Still did not scan. He said, Well the problem is, the cost of the item was over the amount of the limit on the coupon. I said fine, just key in the max @$4.49 and the item will cost $.10. He would not do it. I said, ok, just call a manager. He said, Well the problem is.... Really? He finally called the Manager over to make it work. I think he was pretty tired of coupon people. But i was nice, although my tone may have been getting harder.

The couple of hours I spent Sunday afternoon at HT, St. Albans Dr., frustrated with shelves empty of almost everything I had coupons for, is time I will never get back, but I'll try to be happy for the rest of you. ;)

Made one last trip. There was still quite a bit of the Dawn at the Holly Springs store.
There is also a $1 ZVR on the HT Brand 20 ou dish soap which is on sale and it makes it
    50 cents. I got 1-Dawn, 2- Special K Bars, 2- Rice Krispies, 1 Carnation Breakfast bar pack,
1 HT Dish Detergent, 2 Ocean Potion sunblock sticks (Finally found it!), and a Simple face wash for $7.59. My $2 ZVR did not come off so it will be around $5 when I fix that.

Yes Faye, got a raincheck and the Ragu! Score!!
I was told the Ragu would be arriving the next day but I was leery and asked for the raincheck.
Never did find it at that HT even though I looked for it 4 times.
Thanks for all the wonderful deals!

Got 9 boxes of regular pasta free and saved $9 for three loaves of Udi's gluten free bread. 6 boxes were Barilla and 3 were Mueller's pot size pasta.

Jdouglas...I think I had a good trip. Used 19 coupons...I mostly shopped all food this go round since I did pretty well earlier in the week on personal products. Surprised to find most of the things...they had the Bolds, plenty of Popcorn, stuffed ck breasts that are not too bad :) I wished I had saved all my receipts through out the week to see what my total savings were like the others! I would be smiling the whole time i'm sure :)

couponscouter - I am so happy you had such a good experience! It is sad when the warehouse is out, but as mothar1 mentioned - get those rainchecks!

mothar1 - glad you finally scored the free Ragu!

I talked to a manager in Greensboro over the weekend and he said that the warehouse was out of a lot of the beauty products. "When the warehouse is out, no stores can get it". Thanks to Faye, I've had a great SD's week with ZVR overages (a new experience for me) and even visited two new locations (to me) in the Cary/Morrisville area trying to locate the shampoos!

If I may add, get rainchecks if you can. Rainchecks never expire at HT.
I got one for the Ragu, felt a little frustrated when it wasn't there but finally found some yesterday at the HT on Jones Franklin.
However that raincheck might come in handy on a forthcoming day.

Unfortunately it seems the Clayton store draws a wide circle since it's the store furthest north and east of the Raleigh/Garner area. They get more business than most who have more HT stores nearby.
And because of that, when the shelves are restocked, that stock is probably gone in the first hour. The only way you'll be able to get some of the deals is to know when they're restocking and plan to be there at that time.
Also, first day of the sale, be there as early as you can and then plan to wait to check out at 7am.
