RALEIGH, N.C. — A man died Thursday morning when his car overturned off Lake Wheeler Road in Wake County near the Raleigh city line, state troopers said.
Gregory G. Lonnman, 60, whose home town was not immediately available, died at the scene about 11:35 a.m.
Lonnman's car ran off the right side of Lake Wheeler Road near Simpkins Road and hit a sign, troopers said. They said it appeared that he then over-corrected and went off the left side of the road and into a ditch, which overturned the car.
Troopers said they had not determined if any medications or alcohol had led to the accident.
