Kroger deals: Great new mix & match promotion!

Posted October 14, 2012

Kroger deals this week include a mix & match promotion that offers excellent deals on Old El Paso taco shells, Betty Crocker potatoes and cake mix, Hamburger Helper and more! You'll also find good buys on mini carrots, red peppers, chicken breast, FREE Crest and more!

These deals are valid 10/14 - 10/20.  Please share any other deals you find at Kroger this week!

Kroger Coupon Policy Basics

Kroger doubles coupons up to .50 at Kroger stores in the Raleigh, NC area

Many Kroger stores in the area now allow 5 identical coupons per day (check with your store about their limits)

No total limits of coupons doubled per day

Senior Citizen Discount on Tuesday’s: Age 55 and up receive a 5% discount on total grocery bill (excludes alcohol, tobacco and prescriptions)

Kroger digital e-coupons can be found at the link in the box above. You cannot couple a digital coupon with a paper coupon at Kroger. If you have a digital coupon loaded to your card, the register will automatically deduct it and will not allow you to use the paper coupon. Digital coupons do not double. Click HERE for the digital coupons.

New Mix & Match Promotion: Buy 5 participating products and get a $5 coupon at the register
for your next shopping trip. As far as I know, you can roll your register coupons into the next transaction, which is what I plan to try on Monday when I am going to be near a Kroger. This means that I buy 5 qualifying items and then pay for them. Then the $5 coupon prints out at the register. I then do another transaction of participating items and use the $5 coupon I earned on the previous transaction to help pay for the current transaction. Then rinse and repeat. There are no limits in the ad. But remember, each store limits the number of like coupons you can use (most Kroger stores let you use 5 identical coupons as long as you get product to go with the coupons). There are some very good deals to be had with this promotion including:

10/19 Cart Buster -- Wishbone dressing

  • Faye Prosser - Smart Shopper Oct 17, 2012

you should be able to stack them. I did back to back transactions and rolled each $5 catalina into the next transaction.

10/17, Wednesday Kroger Cart Buster deal of the day is BOGO Chef Boyardee.

  • rmconner1 Oct 16, 2012

Can you stack all the $5 coupons you recieve in one transaction?

  • kidsrn Oct 15, 2012

Faye---thanks for posting this awesome deal! I did 4 transactions at Kroger, got my $5 cat on each and then turned around and bought 4 of the Kroger value boneless, skinless chicken that is on sale for $1.88/lb. I ended up with chicken for 4 meals, 12 boxes of Betty Crocker potatoes, and 10 boxes of Betty Crocker cake mix for a total of $11.18!! I used all of my catalinas on the chicken and had no problem. I will say that the Krogers in North Raleigh are really picked over---I ended up going to 3 diff. stores to get everything. But, well worth it!!

Last time I went to that Kroger, erika - they let me use 5 multiples of a coupon. The Kroger in Garner does that as well. You may want to ask at customer service when you go in though since Kroger does not have a corporate coupon policy and managers change it for their stores every once in a while.

Does anyone know how many coupons the Kroger in Cary off of Hwy 64 will take now? It used to only be 2 but I haven't checked lately. Thanks

  • Faye Prosser - Smart Shopper Oct 15, 2012

I just got back from Kroger and did 3 transactions back to back. They were very nice about it and the $5 register coupon I earned each time rolled just fine into the next transaction. We are now well stocked on Old El Paso taco shells and I'll be donating some on Saturday at the coupon class/food drive at wral! Thanks Kroger!

FYI - the Kroger in Garner does not seem to carry Old El Paso flour tortillas - only the hard taco shells or the combo soft and hard in one box.

kidsrn - I find that they add a few new coupons just about every week. There will be new ones soon.

Sarah - sounds like a great deal to me! I plan to do the OEP tomorrow. Thanks for sharing your fabulous haul! :-)

  • kidsrn Oct 14, 2012

I just opened a SavingStar account and loaded my coupons. Sadly, all of the coupons for the scenarios that Faye posted are all sold out. :-( When do the new coupons post so that I can have a chance to get them? Thanks!

  • sarahcarucci Oct 14, 2012

I bought 10 BC potatoes using 5 0.50/2 coupons, 6 OE products using 2 .60/3 coupons, 4 fruit rollups using 2 .50/2 coupons, and 5 Totinos pizzas which I had a Kroger e-coupon for that didn't come off for some reason. I paid 24.12 but then instead of just getting $20 back in Catalinas, I got $25! Who knows what that was about but I was able to use that to buy all the real food (2 value packs of chicken breast, some dairy, some produce, and some Lara bars) that I actually needed. :) I'm not usually a big Kroger gal, but this one is definitely a great event! Thanks for the heads up on it!
