scoutmom - didn't know there was a daily allotment either. Seems odd since it is not published anywhere I have seen. Thanks for the produce info LAX and scoutmom.

  • scoutmomof2 Aug 12, 2013

Oh and I asked about Cheetos since they were not on the shelves and I was told that the daily allotment was already gone. I didn't realize there was a limit per day. But then that Kroger is kindof different anyway.

Some of the items were not there or very little stock. The peaches were actually shrivling. The produce was much better at Aldi's.

I had the same produce experience at the one near me. When they had green beans for 99 cents/pound, I went to get some and they all had dark spots on them and were limp and there was a mountain of them (not the last ones). I did get some good red grapes for 99 cents/pound recently, but I have passed on a lot of other produce deals.

The one in Cary at High House and Maynard. Of the three in the Raleigh area I have been in the best is the one on Six Forks.

Which Kroger had the less than stellar produce, scoutmom?

  • scoutmomof2 Aug 11, 2013

I wanted to add that when I looked at their ad and the digital coupons it was quite confusing. I need to print out my coupon list to get a handle on it. Some of the coupons are good for up to 5 items purchased at the same time.

I was over there this afternoon, the produce was so poor that I ended up not getting any and going to Aldi instead. I did pick up the chicken thighs and some Old Spice deoderent. I used the B2 get a spray free, had a coupon they mailed me for one free and apparently had a $1 off digital coupon. So I got all three for $1.29.
