THOMASG, sorry if i ruffled some feathers, i shop at the kroger on strickland and falls of neuse, i have purchased this product twice, first time was not well so i tried again., same result. just my thought that its not a great product. glad you have had better luck in durham.

ThomasG - I was not the one who had the bad bacon experience. I have never had that bacon. It was the person who posted before me. I was just responding to his post. But thank you for offering your experience with the bacon. Could be the other poster just got a thin batch and they are not all like that.

Faye I am sorry to hear your experience with the Aberdeen ( Gwaltney ) bacon was not good !
I pick up a pack every now & then when it is on special and have not had any problems - many times it is a little thicker than most regular bacon but not too thick- almost like thin ham .
I shop in Durham - would that make a difference ??maybe different suppliers ??

Thanks for the feedback. We only eat turkey or veggie bacon so I have not had the Aberdeen bacon before.

  • mcorson2 Jun 4, 2014

FYI- have bought the Aberdeen bacon before, it is very thin and breaks apart before it even hits the pan. not a good product, i purchased because of the deal (1.99) not even worth that. save the coin

When you scan your Kroger card at the pump it will prompt you with a message that says something like "you have a XX cents disount. would you like to use it?" then you can select "yes", "no" or "change amount" (if you have higher than a .20 cent discount you can choose to redeem the full amount or less within the ten cent increments). Once you make your choice it subtracts that amount from the prices and you select which grade of gas, etc...and proceed with pumping.

Ahh..I really dislike they no longer double coupons. I try to utilize my bigger coupons, like $1/ or more. On another note, does anyone know how the fuel points work when you redeem them? I have 153 and I am a deer in headlights with it....
