Are the turkey breasts on sale at all krogers thru Tuesday? I didn't this in the ad. Thx.

  • sdoss1 Feb 2, 2014

Jdouglas- I went to the one on Falls. It is very nice, but a bit thin. Fantastic for soup/salads, but would prefer a bit thicker (just the medium size) for when I roast it so it has a chance to get really caramelize without falling apart at higher heat.

RFB, was the asparagus nice? Which Kroger did you go to?

  • RaleighFoodBlogger Feb 2, 2014

Nice trip to Kroger today! Despite the crazy lines, got some good deals. I especially liked the ground turkey on sale with the digital coupons (limit 5). We use it often in meatloaf, turkey burgers, and meatball soups (and will try stuffed in peppers per Nakabi :-) Also got the OJ w/the $1 Q and the asparagus- thanks everyone!

My digital coupon for the bounty is .25.

And I noticed that there's a big ad on the back of the "local" section in this morning's N&O that says that Kroger will be changing to a Wednesday through Tuesday cycle for their specials starting on March 5. Interesting!

Nakabi - I agree about the asparagus - that is a decent price for this time of year. I added the Simply Orange $1 coupon above as well - thanks for the reminder!

GMJaime - you are right! They did change the senior discount age to 60. Not sure when they did it but the ad does indicate you have to be born in 1954 or before to get the 5% discount. Thanks for catching that. :-)

  • gmjaime Feb 2, 2014

Has Kroger changed senior citizen discount to age 60? Add says born 1954 or before...doesn't impact me but will others.

  • nakabi Feb 2, 2014

Happy about that asparagus price!!! Not a great deal but as much as wd eat it Ill have to gey some. Thr simply orange juice deal is better with the $1 that was available a week or so ago..not sure if its still available? And if you use CO51 it makea it a much better deal!
