JDOUGLAS13 - yes it was at Kroger last year the Wednesday evening before Thanksgiving !
Thanks for the broth deal - I missed that one !
I agree about the shelf clearing - that is becoming a BIG problem at MANY stores lately !!

  • jdouglas13 Nov 4, 2015

ThomasG -- that's a fabulous deal for fresh turkey! Where did you get them? Kroger?

I also noticed that canned Swanson's broth nets out to $0.49/can. Not sure if there is a coupon around to stack with that. I haven't seen many Swanson broth coupons lately, even though this is when they are usually issued.

Shoppers, please be nice and don't clear the shelves of everything.

Some Great Deals again at Kroger !
My list so far includes :
caned veggies for home and charity ( we try to feed about 200 on the holidays )
    Nature's Own Bread
    sugar
    milk
stove top ( to mix with DW's homemade cornbread stuffing ) meats and produce to be decided the butter ( I have a rain check for Kroger brand and a digital coupon so not sure which I will get - the rain check may be a better deal ?) I wait for turkeys until close to the day for Fresh or when they are reduced - I got a 2 fresh ones last year for $.37/lb the day before Thanksgiving .

I just saw I forgot the turkey price and added it a bit ago. Ooops. :-0

It's not a good enough price for me. I am holding out for the .47/lb we had last year. The best prices should be next week and the week after on frozen turkeys.

  • jdouglas13 Nov 4, 2015

The whole turkeys (frozen) were about $0.79/lb.

  • rainyday Nov 4, 2015

What is the price for the whole turkeys?

  • jdouglas13 Nov 4, 2015

You and me both -- I'm definitely going for the butter!.

What's the price of the frozen turkey?
