Kohl’s home decor closeout sale: deals on bedding, luggage and furniture

Posted June 19

If you’re in need of a new bedspread, suitcase or some home decor, you should know that Kohl’s is currently offering big discounts on closeout items for your home.

Many of these deals are only available online, so be sure to check out the Kohl’s website before heading to your local store. If an item is only available online, Kohl’s will note that in the item description with the words “Online Only.” But plenty of these deals are available in store, too, and Kohl’s will tell you if the item’s available in your local store.

This closeout sale ends July 13, but keep in mind that with this type of sale, inventory and sizes tend to be limited-the retailer is marking down items to get them out the door-so the sooner you shop, the more selection you’re likely to have.

If you don’t see anything that tickles your fancy in the home section, Kohl’s is also offering an extra 20 percent off summer clothes, swimwear, sandals, beach towels, patio furniture and other summer items using the promo code SPLASH20. This promo code is only good online.

You can also score an extra 15 percent off when you sign up for Kohl’s email alerts.

Markdowns And Other Deals On Curtains

These adorable yellow and grey curtains are marked down to $31.99 (regularly $79.99). On top of that, these curtains are buy one, get one for half off, which means you can score two panels for just $48. This deal is good online only, so you won’t find it in your local Kohl’s store.

Bath Markdowns

This super cute Winnie the Pooh bath wrap would make the perfect gift for a little one, and it’s on sale for $5.99 (regularly $29.99). What a steal!

Rugs On Sale

Kohl’s also has some great rugs on sale, including this patterned indoor/outdoor rug for $54.39 (regularly $135.99).

Money Saving Secrets When Shopping At Kohl’s

As we all know, Kohl’s is known for its discounts. One of our writers, D.C. Francois, is a serious Kohl’s shopper, and he shared some sneaky (but totally legit) ways to save even more money at the popular retailer.

1. You Don’t Have To Spend $50 To Earn Kohl's Cash

Most people think you get $10 in Kohl's cash for every $50 you spend, and the in-store signage says the same thing. But official store policy says you only have to spend within $2 of that $50 to score the Kohl's cash. That means $48 is enough.

2. The Loyalty Program Is Awesome

Sign up for their Yes2You Rewards program and get 5 percent off of everything, all the time.

3. You Can Stack Up To 4 Coupons

That's a lot of coupons. You can stack coupons in the following ways: One site-wide coupon, plus two department-specific coupons, plus Kohl's cash. Or you could use one site-wide coupon plus three Kohl's Cash. Or one site-wide coupon, one department-specific and two Kohl’s cash. You can mix and match, but 4 is the upper limit. Here’s the link to today’s deals.

4. Understand The Price Tags To Know What Kind Of Deal You're Getting.

Kohl's employs a coding system on its price tags that, once you know it, will help you understand the type of deal you’re getting.

BB = Bonus Buy
BGH = Buy One, Get One Half Off
PP= Product Placement: The sale price is fixed and not a percent discount
S = Sale (these usually last for one or two weeks)
A small square in the corner = Lowest price of the season

5. You Can Ship For Free Anywhere In The U.S.

If you use those in-store kiosks to order something, Kohl’s will ship your items anywhere in the U.S. for free. Bam!

6. If You Tell Them Your E-Mail Address And Your Birthday, You'll Save Even More

Sign up for the Kohl's e-mail and they'll give you 15 percent off your next purchase. Sweet! If you're part of their rewards program, they'll send you a bonus gift on your birthday every year. What's not to love?
