Wake County, N.C. — The City of Knightdale will begin curbside pickup of Christmas trees on Monday.

Residents are asked to remove all decorations from the tree or natural wreath before placing it at the curb. Artificial trees should be disassembled and discarded with regular household trash.

Officials urged citizens to take care placing the tree curbside so that it doesn’t interfere with the line of sight for drivers.

Collection will continue for a few weeks, on Mondays only, if there is still demand.
