Knightdale farmers market to open Saturday at new park

Posted May 16

Knightdale Station Park

Knightdale will open its farmers market at the newish Knightdale Station Park, which opened last year.

The market runs 8 a.m. to noon, Saturdays, starting this weekend through Oct. 11.

Vendors will be selling fresh produce and vegetables, along with baked goods, meat, seafood, eggs and other items. Live music and other activities, including a food truck rodeo this Saturday, are planned.

Plus, you've got the fun playground at Knightdale Station. I'll be working this into my weekend at some point for breakfast and play and to pick up some local produce.

The park is at 810 N. 1st Ave., Knightdale.

My comment was a satirical attempt at humor regarding WRAL's recent investigation into playground safety around the state.

I love this park. My son was four months old when it opened, and we've been taking him as often as we can since then. I'm hoping to check out the Farmers Market tomorrow!

Very cool! I hope to see a nice selection, and it sounds like there will be. And ObamaCare, what's up with your comment? The park is actually pretty awesome, and always swarmed with lots of kids. You should come check it out if that sort of thing floats your boat. It's one of the nicer parks around since it's so new and clean. :)
