A Kinston woman died Sunday night after being shot, police said.

KINSTON, N.C. — A Kinston woman died Sunday night after being shot, police said.
Officers responded to a report of shots fired in the area of Hyman Avenue at about 9:20 a.m. and found Kaneesha Nicole Robinson, 23, lying in the street. She had been shot once in the side and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
No other details have been released, such as a possible motive.
