Police said the first incident happened shortly before 3 p.m. Tuesday.

Marvin Davis told police that gunshots were fired at his vehicle as he was driving near Martin Luther King Boulevard and East Lenoir Avenue. Another witness said that someone in a burgundy, two-door car fired at Davis' car. He was not injured.

Police said they found shell casings near East Lenoir Avenue and Raleigh Street.

In the second incident, police said, shots were fired at a house at 635 E. Lenoir Ave. around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday. A bullet struck a hallway closet, but no one was injured.

Investigators found a shell casing in the roadway near the home.

No arrests have been made in either shooting.
