ASHEVILLE, N.C. — An Asheville company has expanded a recall of products it makes, adding adult and pet products to its recall of children's medicine.

King Bio's recent actions now extend to all water-based products made by the firm that are sold under seven different brands, many under the "Dr King's" name.

The treatments are homeopathic in nature and are offered as health solutions for for children, adults, cats and dogs. The medicines are used for a variety of ailments, including fevers, leg cramps, snoring, attention and learning enhancement and pet anxiety.

The company said its products were possibly affected by a "microbial contamination" of the water, adding that they could result in increased infections for some people who use the products and that could be "life threatening to certain individuals."

Customers should stop using the products and contact the company.
