Kids Exchange kicks off consignment sale season this week

Posted January 22, 2014

The giant Kids Exchange consignment sale at the N.C. State Fairgrounds open to the public Friday.

The sale, which kicks off the spring/summer consignment sale season, is open 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday; 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Saturday; and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Sunday (when some items are half off). You'll find some great bargains on clothes, toys, gear and more for babies and kids. Check the website for more information about the sale.

We have about three dozen sales in the region between now and March. Most will focus on spring and summer clothes, toys and gear. There's plenty of time to sign up to consign and volunteer at many of the upcoming sales. For the full list, check our consignment sale database.

I used to buy and sell at this sale. It was just too big and too crowded, and there were a lot of sub-par clothes for sale (stained, ripped, worn out) so I stopped going to that one. If you've never been, be prepared for long lines and craziness. Not recommended.
