Kiddie train returns to Northgate Mall

Posted August 3, 2014

The kiddie train at Northgate Mall in Durham has returned with a new theme - a safari.

The Safari Adventure Train is now open in Macy's Court. The train ride, according to a press release, takes riders on a "sightseeing adventure complete with animals and a safari-themed landscape."

Safari Guides will greet passengers as they get on the train. Safari accessories will be available to purchase. The train runs noon to 7 p.m., weekdays and Saturdays, and 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., Sundays. Tickets are $3 per child.

I've never felt unsafe in this Mall. I don't park in the parking garage though.

I really hope this helps the mall, it is convenient for me and I would hate to see it go but I think it needs more than a kiddie train to get it back up to where it used to be. At least it is a start.
