Kidcycle consignment sale opens Friday

Most of the season's consignment sales ended a month or more ago, but we have one outlier: Kidcycle in Chapel Hill and it's timed perfectly for those of us looking to spend less on Christmas.

The sale at University Mall is open to the public from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday, and noon to 6 p.m., Sunday. Some items are half off on Sunday. The sale also has a Dollar Day from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., Dec. 8, when everything is just $1. The money raised on Dollar Day goes to local groups helping needy families.

You'll find clothing in newborn to junior sizes; maternity clothes and accessories; children's furniture, baby equipment and toys, bikes, trikes and much more. The sale's Facebook page has some pictures showing a lot of toys (and, let's face it, most young kids, and some older kids, won't even notice that it's just new to them when they unwrap it Christmas morning).
