Kazoom Puppet Theater in downtown Raleigh has set its summer schedule.

These are fun shows featuring stories, songs and puppets starring Ms. Poly and Ms. Ester and "superstar" puppet Bartlet. It's best for young grade schoolers and under. Shows are at 10 a.m. and 11:10 a.m., Wednesdays and Thursdays, when scheduled. Tickets are $5 each.

Be sure to have your child make a picture for Bartlet, the puppet star of the show. You can place the picture or note in a mailbox next to the stage and Bartlet will read it during the show. That might be my kids' favorite part of the show.

Here's the run down. I hear that The Little Red Hen with guest Kelly Pigler will be featured during the shows in June.

June dates: June 5, June 6, June 19 and June 20
July dates: July 3, July 16 and July 17 (Closed on July 4)
August dates: Aug. 7, Aug. 8, Aug. 21 and Aug. 22.
It all takes place at Comedy Worx on Peace Street in Raleigh.
Ms. Poly and Ms. Ester also perform shows at 11 a.m. on the first and third Tuesday of each month at the Holly Springs Cultural Center.
