DURHAM, N.C. — Former presidential adviser Karl Rove was scheduled to speak Monday night at Duke University about the 2008 election and the future of American politics.

Rove served as deputy chief of staff and senior adviser to President George W. Bush and was considered the architect of Bush's two successful campaigns for president. He resigned from the White House in August.

He will speak from 6 to 7 p.m. at Page Auditorium on Duke's campus and will answer questions afterward. The session will be moderated by Duke political science professor Peter Feaver, a former member of the National Security Council in the White House.

Tickets are free and available to the public at the auditorium box office on a first-come, first-served basis.
