Juvenile shoots man in Goldsboro

Police said a 19-year-old man was shot inside a home on Myers Avenue in Goldsboro on Saturday night.

GOLDSBORO, N.C. — Police said a 19-year-old man was shot inside a home on Myers Avenue in Goldsboro on Saturday night.

Before going inside, the man had fired several shots into the residence, police said. After going into the house, he was shot twice by a juvenile male.

The juvenile fled the scene and has not been located, police said.

Authorities found the 19-year-old lying on a grassy area near the residence, which is near Seymour Johnston Air Force Base. He was transported to Wayne Memorial Hospital for treatment.

More details, including the identity and condition of the victim, haven't been released. 

The case remains under investigation, police said.
