qrbyrd - thanks for the info! That's a very good price!

  • qrbyrd Dec 5, 2013

For the last 3 weeks the IGA in Coats has had their large eggs for $1.00 a dozen. I don't know how long it will continue but if you are in the area you may want to check.

  • kyliesmom Dec 5, 2013

Thanks Faye & Tristan! I'll head to HT :)

  • Faye Prosser - Smart Shopper Dec 5, 2013

greenfeet - I just see russet and red potatoes on sale for this week from the list above. Don't know of a good white potato sale. Sorry.

  • greenfeet Dec 5, 2013

Is there a 4 lb white potato sale for.99?

  • Faye Prosser - Smart Shopper Dec 5, 2013

kyliesmom - I agree with Tristan about the cheese. I freeze shredded cheese in the original unopened package all the time. I usually us it to cook with because sometimes even the shredded gets a little crumbly after frozen. We can;t tell a difference in taste once it is thawed though.

  • Faye Prosser - Smart Shopper Dec 5, 2013

Tristan - you are absolutely right about photocopying coupons being coupon fraud. Thanks for posting. And you can ignore posts from the person who posted about it. He likes to post things to get us stirred up. Been dealing with him a long time.

  • Grandview Dec 5, 2013

Super Saver Sally, photocopying coupons is not ethical. I just read a comment on another blog that some Food Lions are refusing to take any internet printed coupons because they have the victim of so many illegitimate coupons.

  • Grandview Dec 5, 2013

Kyliesmom, I have found that shredded cheese freezes well. The chunk cheese gets crumbly when frozen and then thawed.

  • kyliesmom Dec 5, 2013

Does freezing the shredded cheese affect the texture or taste any? I hate to buy it and not be able to use it all :) Thanks!
