Thanks for the egg info Kathy and ddalmas!

  • Dr D Apr 12, 2013

Correction - Aldi's eggs are now $1.59/dz in Durham.

  • Kathy S. Apr 11, 2013

Facebook has a $1 off coupon for eggs when you buy 3 mexican avacados. It is on the incredible edible egg facebook.

    Kathy

  • Dr D Apr 11, 2013

I thought I bought a great plenty during the eggs-travaganza the week before Easter, but we're on our last dozen as well. Used my .55 printables, so best price might be Aldi for $1.39/dz this week.

  • Faye Prosser - Smart Shopper Apr 11, 2013

nadeyanju - there are still some coupons here and there that will incorrectly scan on a product from the same manufacturer even if it not the one specifically on the coupon. It's up to us/the store to make sure we read the wording on the coupon and match it with the correct products. The cashier should have caught it but some don't look closely. This is one of the reasons that manufacturer's have changed the bar codes to the new larger one - to prevent people from using coupons on products they are not intended to be used on.

Although yours was clearly an accident, there has been a great deal of coupon fraud using that technique and many others, which is why they have changed the barcodes to hold more information. I definitely wish the Colgate coupon was valid for the BOGO sale, but sadly it isn't. The good news is that there are always good toothpaste deals to use those coupons on!

jdouglas - you have a good excuse - you were out of town during the egg-stravaganzas! Welcome home!

  • chichimama Apr 11, 2013

At Target the Purina 3.5 oz bags of cat chow are $4.40 on sale, and there is a $1 Target coupon to pair with the $1 RP coupon OR there is a $1.25 coupon on the Healthy Weight version available on CouponNetwork. I got two bags this past weekend for $2.15 each.

  • jdouglas13 Apr 11, 2013

Would you believe I need eggs? Hoping I have one of those coupons... I think I do.

  • nadeyanju Apr 11, 2013

    hi faye-

you're probably correct, but somehow my HT allowed me to use the coupon on one of the sale toothpastes. it scanned with no issue. maybe i was just lucky... :)

  • Faye Prosser - Smart Shopper Apr 11, 2013

    Thanks TopCopWife!

nadeyanju - If you are referring to the .75/1 Colgate coupon from the 4/7 SS insert, it is only good on specific varieties of Colgate including the Total, Total Advanced, Sensitive and Optic. Those varieties are not on sale at HT this week. The only varieties on sale BOGO are the less expensive Cavity Protection and Baking Soda tubes. The coupon is not valid on those varieties so it cannot be used with that BOGO sale. Sorry. :-(

If there was another .75 coupon you have found that is good on the BOGO varieties, please let us know.

  • TopCopWife Apr 11, 2013

HT has their Jumbo Eggs for $1.89, and if you still have the $.55/, makes them $1.34, probably not the best deal but if you need eggs an OK price.
