Here is the weekly list of good sale prices for the basics at our various grocery & drug stores including milk, meat, produce, eggs, bread, coupon items & more. This list includes deals from the sales ads, with a few regular priced items included. Please add any other great deals on basics that you find!

This is officially the week of eggs and ham (not the green kind)! You’ll find ham and deals at every grocery store this week in anticipation of the upcoming Easter celebration. There are also great deals on baking products as well. This week also brings the best price we have seen on asparagus for a long time: $1.47/lb at Lowes Foods!

CVS, Rite Aid, Walgreens and Kroger deals are valid through 3/30.

Harris Teeter, Lowes Foods, Food Lion and Aldi deals are valid through 4/2.

Promotions this week at the stores:

Food Lion Big Deal Promotion: Save up to $15 instantly when you buy qualifying items.
Buy 10 participating products and get $5 off at the register
Buy 20 participating products and get $10 off at the register
Buy 30 participating products and get $15 off at the register
It’s basically like getting .50 off each item. The best deal is the FREE Yoplait yogurt – see the details in the Dairy section below!

Lowes Kraft Promotion: $5 off your total when you buy 10 participating Kraft products. It’s basically like getting .50 off each item and there are good deals on Kraft cheese, Kraft mac & cheese, Philadelphia cream cheese and more!

Kroger: Mega Event!: There is a new Mega Event at Kroger this week. Buy 5 participating items and get $5 off instantly. You can also use coupons to get the price even lower. Although there are a number of participating items in the ad, there are always many more on sale in the store. Here are some of the deals from the ad. Prices listed are after the promo discount of $1 per item:

Kroger Fuel bonus points: Through March 30, get 4 times the fuel perks when you buy gift cards. The bonus is not valid on Kroger or Visa gift cards.
