Here is the weekly list of good sale prices for the basics at our various grocery & drug stores including milk, meat, produce, eggs, bread, coupon items & more. This list includes deals from the sales ads, with a few regular priced items included. Please add any other great deals on basics that you find! 

CVS, Rite Aid, Walgreens and Kroger deals are valid through 1/5.

Harris Teeter, Lowes Foods, Food Lion and Aldi deals are valid through 1/8.

Kroger P&G, Pepsi and Kellogg’s Promotion: Save $5 at the register when you buy 5 participating products in a single transaction. Mix and match, limit 5 rewards per transaction. There are a number of deals listed in the ad and more in the store. Look for the tag indicating which items are participating.

Food Lion Store brand super sale: Buy store brand products and get a coupon good on your next purchase.
Buy 4 store brand items and get coupon good for $1 off your next shopping trip
Buy 6 and get $1.50 coupon
Buy 8 and get $2 coupon
Buy 10 and get $2.50 coupon

LF: Mix and match meat deal: Pick 5 meat packages for $20. Look for the packages with the special green dot sticker. The ad indicates that there are over 24 items included and it shows a number of meat cuts but it does not indicate the weight of most of the packages so I have no idea what the price per lb is of these deals.
With this deal, each package will be $4.00 as long as you buy all 5 in one transaction.

    Thanks scoutmom - I don't ever get to those areas, but I am sure others will appreciate some lower prices on basics, if they have the same prices at the Cary stores.

    At CVS this week, Pepsi products 12 pack 12 oz cans are 3/$10. Buy 9 of them for $30 and get a $10 Extra Buck coupon back. This makes them $2.22 per 12 pack after EB - a great price!

    Was in Snow Hill earlier this week. Stopped to check out the Walmart Express( we are getting one in our small town). They had eggs for $1 a dozen and milk for $2.20 a gallon.

    Aldi on Wake Forest Rd has 20oz white sandwich & round top bread for $.85 every week. Kroger on Six Forks Rd also has sandwich bread for $.88 each week (not sure on the loaf size).

    I'm kind of excited about the FL canned veg deal. We are supplementing the pups' dog food with canned green beans lately to keep them from getting overweight, and the FL green beans are net $0.42/can which is a great price!
