Wilmoth: Hit and miss showers, humidity stick around all weekend
With jungle-like humidity and piping hot temperatures, it will definitely feel like summer in the Triangle ahead of the Fourth of July holiday.

Saturday night could see some storms, especially in the southern part of the area.
Expect scattered showers on Sunday, with storms possible. Models suggest partly cloudy skies and highs in the low to mid 90s.

"It's definitely going to be another muggy day Sunday, and temperatures will be even higher than they were Saturday," Wilmoth said.
Expect more hit and miss thunderstorms throughout the day and evening.
"It will be spotty. Nothing to cancel any plans just yet."
Monday and Tuesday bring a greater chance for rain. But don't expect firework cancelations, as Wilmoth said rain does not look to be heavy and frequent in the evening.
"Isolated and hit and miss storms are what we are going to be dealing with throughout the holiday weekend," Wilmoth said.
