It was a startup company that almost no one had heard of, but now it's a major player in the fashion world. That's not the only story at Raleigh Denim Workshop - 78-year-old Chris Ellsberg has lived a life woven with determination and courage.

Vert & Vogue in Durham's Brightleaf Square will host a trunk show this weekend featuring Raleigh Denim Workshop. During the two-day event the shop will be full of Raleigh Workshops beautiful goods.

Co-founders and designers of Raleigh Denim Workshop, Victor Lytvinenko and Sarah Yarborough started the local jean company in 2007 and have recently been accepted into the Council of Fashion Designers of America.

The husband and wife team combine old school methods with modern fits to make one of a kind jeans. They also helped grow the first certified crop of organic cotton in the state. They say their organic Jones Original jean is the most sustainable on the planet.

Vert & Vogue is the only boutique carrying the line in Durham and Chapel Hill right now so this is great chance to come out and see these hot must-have items.

The trunk show runs Friday and Saturday.
