Almost time! Our first event at Raleigh's North Hills is this FRIDAY! We'll be in the Commons area, next to Starbucks and Ben & Jerry's, with all kinds of FREE activities.
Here's what's scheduled:
9 a.m. to 1 p.m.: We'll have big foam blocks under a tent for kids to play with, along with live animals from the N.C. Museum of Natural Sciences, games from Raleigh Parks and Recreation Department, and activities from Flour Power Kids Cooking Studios and Select Sitters.
9:15 a.m.: Workout with Fit4Mom Midtown Raleigh. This is a parent-child Stroller Strides class. You can bring your stroller-riding kids with you!
10 a.m.: Get ready to rock to the beat and learn a little about music along the way with a free class from Songs for Seeds.
11 a.m.: Storytime with Quail Ridge Books. The long-time Raleigh bookstore, which moved to North Hills more than a year ago, has a popular 10:30 a.m., Monday, storytime. They'll bring it down to the Commons on Friday for a special storytime!
We also will have vehicles from Raleigh Police Department and Wake County Sheriff's Department for kids to explore ... and, most likely, a fire truck (barring an emergency that they need to respond to).
Friday's event is part of the North Hills Kids series. You'll find us at the Commons, 4150 Main at North Hills St., Raleigh. Check out our Facebook event page for Friday's activities!
Mark your calendars for our other events: July 11 and Sept. 9.
I hope to see you Friday!
