FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Dr. Jill Biden, the wife of the former vice president and Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden, made two campaign stops in North Carolina on Tuesday.
Biden joined a Get Out the Vote rally at Pitt Community College in Greenville then met in Fayetteville with veterans and military families. The Bidens' son, Beau, was a member of the Delaware Army National Guard and served a year-long tour of duty in Iraq.

Jill Biden followed the discussion with another Get Out the Vote event in Fayetteville at Fayetteville State University, a historically Black college.

Dr. Biden emphasized the urgency to exercise the right to vote in her remarks on Tuesday, which were targeted toward a younger audience.

This was the first big campaign visit to Fayetteville since the presidential debate.

President Donald Trump was the last candidate in Fayetteville. Despite his COVID-19 diagnosis, he tweeted last night that he’ll be back on the campaign trail soon, but it’s unclear if that includes a visit back to North Carolina.
